The Mind and Body Workshop provides innovative interventions for families who have an early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another memory impairment. The workshop is a 4 session program series for both the care partner and the early stage individual to participate, promoting social engagement and peer support, while adjusting to life with a new diagnosis.

Building Hope Session

This session will be offered weekly at Insight Memory Care Center - Sterling from 4:00 to 6:30 pm. All participants will need to provide proof of vaccination before the first session. Each session will be limited to 8 couples, both to allow for social distancing, but the small group also fosters connection and allows everyone time to participate! Session activities include:

March 1
Group Activity: Lego Serious Play
Breakout Sessions: Steps After a Diagnosis (Care Partners); Family Feud game (Participants)

March 8
Group Activity: Yoga and Meditation
Breakout Sessions: Communication Strategies (Care Partners); Building Strength (Participants)

Breakout Sessions: Coping with Frustration (Care Partners); World's Most Magnificent Buildings (Participants)

March 22

Registration is required; there is a short application and assessment process for the program to ensure a good fit for both the caregiver and early stage participant. Please contact Lindsey Vajpeyi with any questions or to register!
