About the film
Musician Glen Campbell starts a farewell tour after he is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and he and his family navigate the unpredictable nature of the disease through love, laughter and music. The film was conceived as a behind-the-scenes record both of that final tour and of the difficult struggle of Mr. Campbell and his family against an incurable disease that afflicts more than five million Americans.
“Glen Campbell … I’ll Be Me” blends intimate and unflinching medical details, poignant performance footage and a survey of its subject’s place in musical history through well-chosen archival footage and interviews with other iconic performers.
