Insight Memory Care Center Thanks The Providence Fairfax for supporting families living with memory loss

Insight Memory Care Center is pleased to recognize and thank The Providence Fairfax for supporting Insight’s care, support, and education for individuals and families living with memory impairment with a donation of $10,000 to start off the holiday season!

Thanks to the generous support of community partners like The Providence Fairfax, Insight is able to provide quality care for individuals living with a dementia diagnosis, support for care partners and families, and education for our Northern Virginia community and beyond. With 1 in 9 individuals being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, this generosity is vital to continue supporting families throughout their dementia journey.

"Each year the number of individuals diagnosed with dementia increases. The generosity of community partners like The Providence Fairfax is critical in meeting the needs of Northern Virginia's aging population," says Anita Irvin, Insight's executive director. "We are especially grateful because as the only day center in the Washington DC area equipped to support individuals from pre-diagnoses through late stages of the disease, Insight is often the first-place people turn to for help."

In the past year, The Providence Fairfax and Insight Memory Care Center partnered to offer a SPARK movie screening to highlight Robin William’s journey with Lewy body dementia and answer questions for families living with the diagnosis, and an Author Spotlight with Tim Johnson on welcoming LGBTQ residents and building welcoming communities.

Thanks to donors large and small, Insight was able to support over 6,500 individuals and families last year.
