Resources and Guidance for Managing Primary Progressive Aphasia

Frontotemporal dementia or FTD is a progressive disorder of the brain. It can can affect behavior, language skills and movement. Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA)is one of the subtypes of FTD. PPA is characterized predominantly by the gradual loss of the ability to speak, read, write, and understand what others are saying. Learn more about PPA, including the signs and symptoms, how it differs from other dementias, and the resources available locally and through AFTD.

This class will be held both virtually and in-person in Fairfax. Please select your attendance type when you register.

The in-person session will be held in the Mazawey Education and Support Center, 3955 Pender Drive, Suite 100, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Virtual attendees will receive Zoom information prior to the class.

This program is a part of our monthly Care Partner Training series. All sessions are FREE, and held the second Wednesday of each month from 1:00 to 2:30 pm.
